reflection on parenting...

In this NYT article, I found myself laughing outloud when I read the following:

"Most of my married friends now have children, the rewards of which appear to be exclusively intangible and, like the mysteries of some gnostic sect, incommunicable to outsiders. In fact it seems from the outside as if these people have joined a dubious cult: they claim to be much happier and more fulfilled than ever before, even though they live in conditions of appalling filth and degradation, deprived of the most basic freedoms and dignity, and owe unquestioning obedience to a capricious and demented master."

That is funny...

Northern Wisdom- this is a personal question.
Are you LDS?
Do you believe EVERYTHING that is taught as truth by your faith and prophet?
It seems that it would be difficult to reconcile your personal beliefs with your religious standings if you are in fact LDS.
Please expound.

Dear Just Asking Questions,

I am a little confused by your question. It appears that you just became a blogger today and then put this comment on my blog - is that because you know me and are wondering, in your associations with me personally, how I rationalize Mormonism with my political views? Do you mind elucidating what views you find incompatible?

Thanks.

Sincerely,
Dana.

NW-
I don't know you personally, but I know of you. You would also know of me, that's why I chose to write anonymously. I am intrigued by your blog, and your liberal standings. I was wondering in particular about your stance on gay marriage, and abortion? I am not in opposition to your views- On the contrary, like I said, I find them quite fascinating.
